Adjusting Special Populations
Course Description
This course will discuss the treatment and co-management of select special populations in primary healthcare and family-based practice. These include the cultural, physical, neurological, and/or psychological considerations these patients face as well as how to accommodate their specific needs as chiropractic patients. Students will learn to modify chiropractic adjustments given to this population by integrating the differential diagnosis for the patient, with the related risks and complications that may be present in those special populations. Prerequisite(s): BASC 5304 Public Health; BASC 5306 General Pathology; CLSC 6103 Physical Diagnosis; CHSC 5306 Analysis & Adjusting Technique I; CHSC 6204 OB/GYN/Pediatrics or concurrent enrollment.
