Program Student Learning Outcomes
The graduating student will be able to:
Apply nutritional science to improve health and wellness at the individual and community levels.
Analyze, synthesize, and evaluate scientific literature to make ethical, evidence-based decisions about nutrition.
Evaluate the ethical, cultural, and social factors that influence nutrition-related decision-making and food systems at the individual, community, and population levels.
Demonstrate skills and abilities as nutritional science and health researchers for post-graduate opportunities and/or entering the workforce.
Degree and Graduation Requirements
The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science requires a minimum of 120 semester credit hours of coursework which are as follows:
31 Credit hours in General Education courses.
15 Credit hours in elective courses.
74 Credit hours in major required courses.
The Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences program must be completed within 15 terms.
