Program Student Learning Outcomes
The graduating student will be able to:
Interpret psychological theories and current trends in research related to sport psychology.
Discuss the legal and ethical issues in sport psychology and athletic performance.
Describe the physiological principles of athletic performance and the role of applied sport psychology in enhancing skills to improve athletic performance.
Analyze and apply techniques to improve athletic performance and enhance mental well-being.
Develop critical thinking and writing skills that describe empirical research.
Degree and Graduation Requirements
The Bachelor of Science in Sport Psychology requires a minimum of 121 semester credit hours of coursework which are as follows:
34 Credit hours in General Education courses.
18 Credit hours in elective courses.
69 Credit hours in major required courses.
