Program Student Learning Outcomes
Students completing the Medical Assistant Certificate will be able to:
Demonstrate proficiency in performing essential administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, billing and coding, and handling insurance documentation.
Display the knowledge and skills required to successfully pass national medical assistant certification exams, meeting or exceeding industry standards.
Perform key clinical procedures, including taking vital signs, collecting patient histories, performing blood draws, administering medications, and preparing patients for examinations, with accuracy and professionalism.
Degree and Graduation Requirements
The medical assistant certificate requires the successful completion of 39 credit hours of Medical Assistant curriculum.
